About

How did this service get started?

Relinks.me began as a personal project — my wife is an author, and I wanted one link and QR code that would send her readers to the right storefront in their country. I've been a web developer since the 90s, and it's remained a one-person project ever since: every line of code, update, and feature built by me.

What does this service provide?

A universal relink and QR code that detects a reader's location and sends them to the correct Amazon or Apple Books storefront — for author pages, books, Kindle books, Audible titles, and audiobooks.

Is relinks.me free?

Yes. Creating a relink and QR code is completely free, and no account is required.

How can this service be free?

Relinks.me has been completely free to use since its launch in 2013, and I’ve kept it ad-free from day one — no banners, no tracking, no monetizing clutter. We participate in the iTunes affiliate program for Apple Books, but it accounts for less than 1% of relinks created — it doesn't affect your earnings from Amazon or Apple either way. If you find it helpful, you can support development through Buy Me a Coffee — never expected, always appreciated.

How accurate is this service?

We update our database weekly to stay aligned with Amazon and Apple Books. We aim for maximum accuracy, but when a reader's location can't be determined, relinks.me falls back to the .com storefront.

Which stores do you support?

18 Amazon storefronts and Apple Books across 51 countries — more are evaluated regularly.

What is the server uptime?

Our current server maintains 99.9% uptime. As with any internet service, 100% can't be guaranteed.

What are ISBN and ASIN numbers?

ISBN (International Standard Book Number) identifies paperback and hardcover books. ASIN (Amazon Standard Identification Number) is a 10-character code used for Kindle books and other Amazon products — Kindle ASINs usually start with "B0".

What is an Apple ID?

A unique numeric identifier used for items in Apple Books.

What are QR codes?

A scannable code that opens a link when read by a phone or tablet camera. relinks.me generates one automatically for every relink you create.

Does this work for author pages, not just single books?

Yes — paste any Amazon or Apple Books author page URL and relinks.me routes it the same way.

Does this service create links for anything on Amazon or Apple Books?

At this time, only author-related items.

Account

Is an account necessary to create relinks?

No — an account just helps you keep track of your relinks.

Are accounts free?

Yes.

How do I create a relink under my account?

Add it from your account's home page. If it already exists in the system but isn't linked to your account yet, adding it will attach it.

What if I can't add a relink to my account?

Someone else may have already added it to theirs — contact us for assistance.

What features are available in an account?

A list of your relinks with shortened (rxe.me) alternatives, stats, social sharing tools, and QR codes — everything you need to manage your relinks in one place.

Can my account be closed and my relinks removed?

Contact us for assistance.
