The Woman from Beaumont Farm (The Market Stall Girl Book 2) Kindle Edition
Sequel to The Market Stall Girl
1914, West Yorkshire, England.
Newly married to Noah Jackson, Beth is happily content working on her family’s market stall while Noah fulfils his dreams of being a teacher. Living in a small overcrowded pit house with the Jacksons isn’t ideal, but Beth knows it’s only for a short time and that change is around the corner. However, she could never have expected such shocking changes to happen.
When war erupts, Beth’s peaceful life is shattered by events beyond her control. Noah enlists to fight alongside his brothers, but it is on Beaumont Farm, Beth’s family home, where life throws the most challenges.
A devastating accident occurs that changes all their lives and the effects ripple throughout the family. Once a loving home, Beaumont Farm becomes Beth’s responsibility, one she never thought she’d have.
Can she cope with the grief and burdens placed upon her as she waits for news from the battlefields of France?
Can she save the farm from collapse?
And will the man she loves return home safe, or will an old enemy take an opportunity to seek revenge?
Another wonderful story of great characters from AnneMarie Brear! - Amazon reviewer.

"Poignant, powerful and searingly emotional, AnneMarie Brear stands shoulder to shoulder with the finest works by some of the genre’s greatest writers such as Catherine Cookson, Audrey Howard and Rosamunde Pilcher." Amazon reviewer.
An award winning and Amazon UK best seller, Australian born AnneMarie Brear writes historical novels and modern romances and sometimes the odd short story, too. She has a love of old country houses, travelling, chocolate (except dark chocolate - not a fan), researching historical eras and looking for inspiration for her next book.

- Reviewed in the United States on March 26, 2021Reading this brought me to realize how terrible the First World War was from the loss of life, separation of loved ones due to war, the love of brothers going through the thick of it sacrificing their life to serve country. To enlist was to be a man regardless of one had to lie about age, children going to battle. Although what they thought abs what it actually was were two different things.
Women keeping the home front going taking men’s jobs to keep food on table and coal burning for heat.
Excellent book I know she has to write another we must know how Noah and Beth get on after the war. How Louis Melville comes between or brings them together closer.
Can’t wait!
- Reviewed in the United States on August 23, 2022I wish I could say this was a great story but honestly it was depressing to me that war took so many lives for the greedy people in this world and unfortunately it is happening today with the war in Ukraine.

5.0 out of 5 stars Wow, what a book
The follow up to The Market Stall Girl, this book was every bit as good as the first one, but oh so sad in places and I found it hard to read. It is 1914 and Beth and Noah are now married. Noah has just qualified as a teacher and the future is looking bright for them both. And then World War 1 breaks out and Noah and his four brothers all join up.
Although the story of Beth on the farm and her family was still interesting and an integral part of the story, it was the five Jackson brothers that went away to war that I wanted to read about. I just couldn't get my head around the fact that five brothers from the same family could join up and fight a war, knowing that all of them could be killed. How their mother, Peggy, coped with the worry of it, I do not know. And whilst this is fiction, it obviously did happen in both WW1 and WW2 which is a sobering thought.
Like the first book, this is a must read and in fact it only took me a day to read each book, I just couldn't put them down.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good
The story about the war was well written and as life on the farm became harder Beth stepped up. There are stories with the main, which are interesting.
